Some things are so beautiful

There are some things that are so beautiful they cause us to pause, drop our jaw and stare in awe at what’s before us.
It might be brilliant beams of glimmering white light that have travelled 92 million miles from the sun just to illuminate the spaces between the trees in a forest.
Or, maybe it’s an explosion of colour created by the sun setting into a steely blue ocean casting shades of pink, orange, purple and red across the clouds floating on an indigo sky.
It might be a hiking trail that spills out onto a rockbluff above the tree-line unveiling the entire world before you, so small, so pristine, so perfect when viewed from up high.
Things so beautiful that we ache to share them with another soul. Moments that wake up my spirit and cause it to dance.
When I’ve relished in moments like these I know without a doubt that there is a divine energy that guides us and connects us to all living things.
These moments remind me that this is how we are supposed to live, in a state of reverence for the natural world.
I had one of these moments today, thus my rambling post 😊.
Short story is; me, walk in the forest, rain showers, wind whistling through the tall trees, swaying branches, lush ferns, multiple shades of green, Doe and two small buck nestled on the ground next to a cluster of moss covered nurse logs, lit by the only ray of light that had found its way through the clouds and the trees, (A Jesus beam as some might call it😊) all added up to serenity, magic and me. Breathtaking.
The only thing missing, maybe, someone to share it with.

Lets help each other grow into the best version of ourselves

I had coffee with an old colleague this week. (He knows I’m posting this and was OK with it)
He wanted to chat as he was feeling down about his marriage of 23 years coming to an end.

He blew me away when he said; “She went back to school. She changed and I didn’t like it. She got excited about new job prospects, she had new friends, she lost weight and was really happy. I realized she could get by without me if she wanted to and I was completely uncomfortable with all of it.”

I was shocked as to why he was uncomfortable and asked him; why he wouldn’t want to share her journey, celebrate her achievements, her growth, her learning, her improved health and her new friendships and why he wouldn’t make the effort to get to know the beautiful person she had grown into?
He gave me a blank stare.
“I don’t know?” He said, “I guess I was happy with the way things were, I was afraid that she may have expectations that I would to grow along with her?”

“So why would that be a bad thing?” I asked, “If we are in the right relationship, we should learn and grow and become the best version of ourself. You can not expect a person to come down to your expectations of them, you need to “growup” to their expectation and belief in themselves .”

He gave me another blank stare.
“My god I’m such an asshole,” he replied.
“Well my friend, knowing that, might be the first step in your recovery.”

We are all on our own journey. If you find someone to share your path, someone that supports you in becoming the best version of yourself, hang on to them, its rare. We are suppose to grow, change and evolve. If you are with someone that is trying to improve their life, support them, join them in the journey. ~ This coming from a single, 57 year old dog lady ~ 🙂

You may have to take a few detours.
You may have to practice loving the wrong people first.
You may have to hold the belief that it’s out there waiting for you.
You may not recognize it when it arrives because it won’t look like anything you’ve ever seen or felt before.
You may find that it’s so beautiful there are no words, just feelings.
You may be afraid,
But, there it will be and every step you’ve ever taken will now be understood.
You may not have found it yet, be patient,
May you find love ❤️
