Go make some mud~

Most of our adult lives we’re on a quest to feel whole and happy.

As we wait for happiness to arrive, some of us fill the empty spaces with busyness, distractions, temporary highs, unfulfilling relationships, toxic substances, material possessions and the debt that often comes with the “stuff” we bring into our lives. But still, the emptiness remains.

As children we intuitively lived mindfully.
We knew how to laugh, how to play and what made us happy. Happiness and fulfilment arrived when we exercised our curiosity, explored our environment, created adventures, made art, made music, made mud, splashed in puddles, ran barefoot through the grass, played in a forest or a creek, took risks and knew we’d be okay even if we fell.

There’s a child who lives in each of us waiting to come out and play, hungry to make a little mud.

Even amidst the frenzied noise of a world in constant turmoil, we can still CHOOSE to be playful and happy, even if we get a little bit messy.

That whimsy child in you may just be lost beneath the clutter, the distractions, the busyness, the possessions, the stress, too much information, self doubt and responsibility.

Today’s a good day to set that perfect, playful, child free and reclaim your “happy.” To let go and jump, skip, slide, soar, sing, surf, run, ride, sail, paddle, peddle, splash or swim, right past anything blocking your path to happiness.
Now, go make some mud.

The family~

Once upon a time, there was a family of 7.2 billion people running around their little blue village trying to change each other and beat each other up. No one really knew why.

Each new generation picked up where the generation before had left off, mocking, shunning, shaming, judging and attacking their family for their different beliefs, social status, gender, sexual orientation, alliances, traditions, looks and well, just about anything.

While they could have been building a beautiful village together and caring for one another, instead, they wasted time blowing things up, destroying the village, hurting each other, even going to war with each other over their differences.

Then one day a group of children within the village decided “this is dumb” we’re not playing like this anymore. And they didn’t, and over a few generations the family began to heal.

They still had disagreements, but now they worked through them with curiosity and without judgment or causing each other significant harm.

Soon the family began to realize they were supposed to be different. It was their differences that made them stronger, healthier and collectively wiser. They saw that when they lifted each other up, and listen to each other‘s perspectives, they achieved more together then they did apart.

No, they did not all live “happily ever after”, but they did survive and live “better ever after.”

That’s it.
The End~

**I don’t want to look like you, be like you, think like you, have the same hopes, dreams or goals as you. Those things belong to you, those things are a part of your journey.

The only thing we should be the same at, is accepting and loving each other as we are; and, embracing the notion that; ~we’re supposed to be different, it’s our differences that give us our collective strength and collective beauty.

I’m gonna’ love your beautiful, messy, weird, little, soul, just the way it is and, love my own weird, messy, little soul the same way.

Have no regrets~

In our final days,
let’s not look back
with regret on;
~ forgiveness we never gave,
~ anger we left behind,
~ fear not overcome,
~ kindness taken for granted,
~ pain inflicted,
~ time wasted,
Or,
~ love not shared.

Take care of what has to heal now,
so in the end, there’s no regret,
only the ambers of the kindness,
compassion, inspiration and
the love, you’ve left behind.

Home in the natural world ~

Every day the natural world shows us how to cooperate, how to thrive and how to embrace change when it arrives.

She serves as a beautiful classroom in our quest to understand our own humanity. By observing her, we’re gifted with the secrets to our own existence.

She reminds us that every living thing is a beautiful miracle, lending purpose and value to all other living things.

She shows us what being patient, mindful and resilient really looks like.

She is absolutely selfless and provides us with everything, including the air, water, food, shelter and medicines we need to survive. She offers us all this, and so much more, freely.

Our fragile human spirits need the natural world. She’s our respite from the chaotic, hurried world we’ve created. She’s our real home, we really should take care of, and visit her more often.

It a good day to start healing~

Today feels like a good day to start healing from whatevers hurting or haunting you.

It doesn’t matter how you got here.
What matters is how you muster the courage to move beyond it.

Healing can start by forgiving who or what hurt you, including forgiving yourself for the role you played or decisions you made, that led to your emotional or physical pain.

Forgiveness does not mean you condone or forget what happened. Forgiveness is the act of reclaiming control over your mental and physical well being so you can move on and live your best life.

When we forgive, we put the weight of our pain down and remove the power it has over us. Forgiveness allows peace to fill in the spaces where sorrow, guilt, regret, anger, grief or other pain once lived and, we begin to heal.

If you need help getting started; write down the things you want to heal from and who you need to forgive. Then, find your place of peace. This place might be a forest, the oceanside, a wide open field, the rivers edge, a mountain top, your garden or a quiet room with a view.

In this safe space set your words free. You can burn, bury, shred or flush, them away. Or, scream them out into the ether.

When you leave this place, leave what and who hurt you behind. If you feel your pain creeping back in. Go back to this place and reclaim your peace of mind.

Whether your pain is anchored in grief, regret, remorse, abuse, addiction, heartbreak, an accident, disease or other physical or emotional suffering; today’s a good day to start healing.

Pain is often where our greatest learning and growth takes place. Your pain can leave you paralyzed or, it can be the wind that sets you free.

Keep moving ~

~ Life is like one long beautiful bike ride

I love riding my bike. When I’m riding, I see the world differently. I’ve noticed that when I’m riding, the bike will veer in the direction I’m gazing. Yesterday the bike almost pulled me into a blackberry bramble as I watched baby rabbits scurry into the underbrush. A few days ago, I almost landed in the river, watching a doe and her two fawns cross the water as I rode by.

When I’m looking forward, the bike goes straight ahead. I don’t have to think about staying upright, my inner guidance system keeps me upright and balanced.

When I fall, I pull myself up, dust myself off and start peddling (and yes, I’ve had a tumble or two). Sometimes there’s stuff blocking the path and I have to move the debris or find my way around it. When a storms blows in, I stop and take cover or ride a little slower.

When I properly maintain my bike, check the tire pressure, grease the chain, etc, my bike functions better and is better able to handle the bumps in the road.

When I’m mindful of my surroundings and fully present, wow it’s a beautiful and pleasant ride.

Life is similar. When we’re looking forward it’s easy to stay on our path. If we fall we have to pull ourselves up and carry on. When toxic people or our negative thoughts, block our path, we have to deal with them before we can move forward.

When life storms, such as heartache, loss, illness or disappointment, blow in, it’s important to take the time we need, wait for the storm to pass before we move on.

When we take care of our bodies, minds and spirits, we function better, we’re happier, we’re balanced and we’re better equipped to handle the bumps along the way.

Being mindful and fully present in our daily lives makes the journey more enjoyable and meaningful.

So, stop giving time and attention to things that pull you off your path, like toxic relationships, worry, jealousy, anger and hate. These things mess up our balance and can land us in those prickly, uncomfortable brambles.

Take care of your mind, body and spirit, you’ll feel better and be so much happier if you do.

Einstein said; ““Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” he was right (he’s Einstein, of course he was right) 🚲.

So keep moving forward you beautiful, magical riders, take care of yourselves and enjoy this marvellous, magnificent ride called life.

Don’t Listen

Every day, the rest of the world,
will try and tell you;
~ who you should be,
~ what you should believe,
~ where, when and how you should show up, and, what’s important.

DON’T LISTEN.

The dreams pounding in your chest, your curious nature calling you to explore, the art-music-poetry or whatever it is in you that’s urning to be born; listen to that.

Not all life storms are destructive~

Not all of life’s storms are destructive.
Some come to shake us up, so we can put things back together, not the way they were, but, the way they’re meant to be.

Good things grow from the messiest parts of our lives. Every challenge, loss and disappointment brings new opportunities.

There really is calm, light and maybe a few rainbows, after every storm.
Yup, after~every~single~ one.

Wishing you a fabulous weekend 🤗🌈

The force “is” in you~

Many things happen when we sit quietly and do nothing. The earth spins, the sun shines, spring turns to summer, summer transitions to autumn, leaves change colour, the snow comes, it goes, clouds burst open to feed the earth, trees and plants pump out oxygen so we can breathe, and,
we do absolutely nothing to make any of this happen. Nothing.

Your heart beats, your blood flows and your lungs provide the oxygen you need to live this life, without you even thinking about it, without you having to force it and without you having to “want it.”
We accept these things, we trust the process, we even marvel at it.

The energy managing this system of continual transformation is happening within all of us, all of the time. It doesn’t matter if you call this universal force science or religion, the fact is, it’s there.

It’s when we resist this force, and try to “force” our will and power over things and people, that life, humanity and the planet fall into chaos.
Yep, I’m gonna say it …~ “The force is in you.” Let it do its thing.

Maybe we all have to stop trying so hard to force our will, our power, our greed, and our beliefs, over others and be mindful of a greater more peaceful force already at work ☮️.
Like they said in the 60s “go with the flow.”
