When an obstacle blocks your path,
you can CHOOSE to view it as a disaster, an inconvenience, Or, an opportunity to pause, catch your breathe, clear your mind, reflect and grow.
Then, when you’re ready, choose a new path AND move on.
Every loss, every ending, every failure, every spiral to the bottom and all things that cause us pain, provide the opportunity to change perspective.
Once you chart your new path, leave behind whatever, whoever was blocking you or causing you pain.
Take a gratitude moment and give thanks that you survived “it” and are wiser because of it.
What’s blocking you? Is it really a disaster? or is it creating an opportunity to move on healthier, happier, lighter, wiser and with a new perspective.

Life is a delicate high-wire dance between chances not taken and bold quests to risk it all.
We move between treading lightly through life and jumping ”all in” at warp speed.
Then, something happens, a loss, an illness, a disaster and everything, absolutely everything changes. We are shaken to our core. Everyone means so much more than they did before that “something” rattled us.
We assess our purpose, our value and wonder why any of this matters at all.
But it does matter and it shouldn’t take “something” to remind us to live fully every day.
Our time on this earthly journey is limited. Those that leave before us are a reminder that we are not permanent fixtures in any of this. It’s that impermanence that makes life a gift.
So don’t tippy-toe through life, afraid to fall, be bruised or hurt. You’re here to feel and to BE human. So, feel it all and BE the things you’ve dreamt of BEing Take each step believing that there is a net to catch you when you fall.
None of us are getting out of “this” alive.
Don’t die with your love, your words, your music, your art or your passion locked inside you. Leave it all out there, where it can be seen, be heard, be touched and be loved.

Autumn reminds us that the things that fall are beautiful. Everything can be reborn, renewed or rebuilt, including us.

Sometimes the universe appears to be silent.
Our prays and cry’s for help are not answered.
We see chaos unfold around us and wonder why any of this matters or exists at all?
Our world leaders flounder leaving us feeling adrift in a vast wasteland of lies and corruption.
It’s in moments like this that you get yourself;
a bag of Oreos, bar-b-q ripple chips, a couple tubes of all-spice Pringle’s, gummy bears, a jar of spicy olives, a few kit-kats, wine, a puppy and a line up of Hallmark movies.
Then you place your crown upon your head and you take that rainy day and turn it into your own damn picnic!
( I’ll also take a side of fries with that).
Darling, You are the Universe! You can turn any storm into a sunny day! Oh yes you can!

Wisdom is all around us waiting to be invited in and be understood.
It lives in the actions of others and the emotions we feel when we witness acts of kindness and compassion or acts of destruction and hate.
Wisdom arrives in the repetition of events and circumstances that continue to enter our lives until we “get” what the universe is trying to teach us.
Wisdom stands beside us trying to teach us to be humble when our egos are too hard at work.
Sometimes, wisdom just shows up. You feel it in your gut, you hear it tapping on the window of your soul trying to get your attention. Listen.
It often shows up during our greatest life storms or, when we’re completely still.
It’s there in everyone we know and in everything we do. We don’t always see or understand the gift of the lessons it brings, so sometimes it’s cousin Karma has to step in to drive the learning home.
Wisdom does not come from books or a classroom, it comes from our experiences, our relationships and our daily interactions. It’s there waiting for us to invite it in.
The world needs wise souls to put humanity and our planet back together.
Invite wisdom in and share it!

This life journey takes us through magnificent highways paved with laughter, chaos, love, joy, heartache, physical pain and elation.
We walk quiet trails of wonder and awe, experiencing incredible highs and soul crushing lows, always seeking purpose.
And still here I sit, as naked and confused as I was the day I was born, trying to figure it out.
The moral of this story is, we will never figure it out, so, surrender to what is.
Does it matter what the purpose of life is?
No it doesn’t. We’re here, period, so create your own purpose, pave your own path and blaze your own interesting trails. Find the lessons where you can, love the ones you’re with and enjoy the dance.
Unpack anything that does not bring you joy and let it go.
We all have an expiry date, so, be kind, be tolerant, be compassionate and be loving to all living things including our planet.
I do not have a clue where my journey will take me next, wherever it is, I’ve decided it’s going to be great. There’ll be forests, oceans, starry skies, chocolate, music, puppies, trails to wander and adventures waiting just for me and hopefully shared with many of you.
Take charge of your journey, then enjoy where it takes you.

We’re all trying to fill the empty spaces inside of us. Maybe we need to stop trying so hard.
Those empty spaces, might be the breathing room we need to allow old attitudes, behaviours and beliefs not meant for us to leave.
We exhaust ourselves chasing happiness, chasing love, chasing a bigger this or a better that, trying to fill a false sense of “lacking” or emptiness in our lives. When maybe everything we already have, is perfectly enough?
If we’re constantly trying to fill up on something better, we’re NOT enjoying what and who is already present.
You don’t always have to be busy, frantically chasing, consuming and filling up on things, people, activities, substances or the doctrines of society, religion or politicians, to fill a sense of lacking in your life.
Every garden needs space so things can flourish. Like a garden, its the empty spaces within us that allows light to shine on new seeds of thought. Use those quiet spaces when you find them, to just BE and see what grows in you.
Give yourself permission to be still, to be quiet, to create space in your life for the things, the thoughts, the ideas and the souls that have been trying to reach you through the clutter, the noise and the chaos that has kept them out.
Not all empty spaces need to be filled. Sometimes the emptiness itself can fill us up.

I’ve often wondered why I’m drawn to certain people.
Is it love? Is it a Karmic connection? Are they a part of my long lost soul tribe?
Everything, including all of us, is energy and vibrate on certain frequencies.
Like the sounds that resonate from the strings on a violin or tunes created on the keys of a piano, we can create beautiful harmonies with some people or, create horrible noise with others that are out of tune with our vibrations.
You know the saying “I got a bad (or good) vibe from that person”. There’s something to that. People like certain pieces of music can lift us up or bring us down based on the vibrations they put out.
Maybe we’re drawn to certain souls because we’re part of the same universal symphony or choir, we’re melodies yet to be played or duets that have yet to be sung.
Whatever it is, I’m grateful for those that make beautiful music in my life orchestra.🎶 ❤️
