We need the struggle ~

We need the struggle.

An acorn needs the struggle from the deep earth into the light to establish its roots.

The butterfly needs the struggle from the cocoon into the world to push blood into its wings, so it can fly.

A baby turtle needs the struggle from the nest across the sand, to fire up its leg muscles so it can swim.

Our human struggles are necessary. They help us plant our roots, exercise our endurance and help us grow.

Without the struggle many things, including us, would never grow.

Let the light in ~

If there’s too many trees in a forest, none of them can grow to their full potential. They block the light from one another and nothing new can take root. Life can also be like that.

When we’re surrounded by the wrong people, too much stuff, noise, clutter, negativity, busyness, even our own bad habits, we get distracted and can’t see or feel the light that’s trying to find us.

It’s okay;

  • to remove the people and things that no longer fit into the life you want to live,
  • to turn off the noise, including the news, the gossip, the politics and the negative chatter from others,
  • to let go of any negative opinions you have about yourself, your potential and your worthiness.

When we remove the things that no longer fit into our lives, we realize many of the things we’ve been looking for were always there, hidden in the shadows of what had to go.

Create the “space between the trees”, so the light can shine in and you can grow the life you want to live.

Find your vibe

Have you ever wondered why you’re drawn to certain people, places, music or art?

Chances are you’re in harmony with, and vibrating (vibing) on compatible frequencies with these things and people. Let me explain.

When children play, they know what and who they’re drawn to and in-tune with. They authentically display these connections through their words, actions, drawings and their raw untainted playfulness. As a child, I knew exactly what I was drawn to, and what I loved. In the course of growing into an adult, I forgot or unplugged from, these connections.

Over time our natural connection to things can become weakened by the world around us. To reestablish these connections, we need to tune back in.

When words, images, music and even people, resonate with us and make us feel good, it might be a signal that we’re plugged into a source of energy (a frequency) that’s in harmony with our natural human vibration.

Like-attracts-like, so whether you call this source; energy, spirit, ego, intuition, divinity, soul or another name, this entity recognizes the frequency you’re in harmony with and guides you towards it.

If you want to amplify your connection to your source, try;

[ ] Going into nature where the sounds of our modern world are muffled and the vibrations of nature are in harmony with our bodies and minds. Close your eyes, listen and feel.

[ ] Meditation/prayer; will help quiet your mind so you can feel and hear more clearly and tune into your source.

[ ] Listen to music, wander through an art gallery or read inspirational content, then be aware of the emotions and the sense of connection resonating within you.

[ ] Become playful again. Paint, draw, write, build, hike, kayak, sail, garden or engage in other activities that lift your spirit, quiet the mind and nurture the connection between yourself and your source.

[ ] Find your tribe. Just like the sounds flowing from the strings on a violin can be in-tune with the keys of a piano, so can we be in-tune with some people or, create horrible noise with others. So, find the ones you’re in-tune with.

[ ] While alcohol or drugs, might make us feel good temporally, these things can numb our natural vibrations, alter brain structure and function, making it harder to connect to the things we’re naturally in harmony with.

If you’re struggling, find the source(s) of energy that feel good. You might find it in a person, a forest, a piece of music or another creative outlet that plugs you into your flow and brings balance and harmony into your life.

**Attempts to plug into your source WILL NOT cause electrocution, dry mouth, hair loss, cramps, fever, diarrhea, sore eyes, acne, weight gain, constipation or ED. No renewal prescription is required. 😁

Kindness ~ pass it on

Every day our lives touch the lives of others in ways we don’t always understand. These interactions, even small ones, can create positive or negative ripples in the lives of others.

For example; imagine the barista who made your coffee this morning, perhaps they’re having a bad day and accidentally messed up your order. You can be compassionate, extra patient, tell them it’s okay and maybe even double your tip. Or, you can be nasty and impatient.

Your actions have now set in motion a ripple of behaviour. If you choose to be nasty and impatient, that might be the behaviour that’s passed on to the next customer.

If you choose to be kind, your actions and words may have relieved the stress on the barista and allowed them to “reset”.

They are now more likely to pass along a kind act to another person, possibly without even realizing it. And, that person might do the same, and so on.

Along the way these acts of kindness inspire others, build momentum and create stronger human connections.

Science has proven that being kind boosts serotonin and dopamine, which are neurotransmitters in the brain that give you feelings of satisfaction and well-being, and cause the pleasure centers in your brain to light up and, release endorphins, which are your body’s natural pain killer.

The possibilities from your one small act of kindness are infinite.

So start a ripple. Your kindness ripple might be the one that grows into something absolutely beautiful, for all of us.

Kindness~ pass it on. Then, enjoy your coffee and have an absolutely wonderful day ☕️🤗.

Happy looks good on you😃

Happy looks good on you, you should wear that more often! 😃

The science on “happiness” has shown that being happy is good for your physical health, mental well-being, spiritual wellness, your relationships and social connections.

If you want to get more of your “happy on,” engage in daily physical activity(even a little goes along way), make healthier dietary choices, cultivate a positive attitude towards life (see the glass as 1/2 full, not half empty), foster connections and networks of support with like-minded people, practice gratitude and engage in creative hobbies or passions.

If you want to go the extra happiness mile, stop being so judgmental, stop messing in other people’s business and lives. Stop worrying and overthinking so much. Let go of grudges and anything that keeps you stuck in the past. And, stop being so offended by things that have nothing to do with you (like the colour of your neighbours skin, sexual orientation or belief system.)

We all go through stuff, sometimes really horrible stuff, that kicks the happy right out of us and brings us down. Cultivating a positive and happy attitude and approach towards life will make it easier if and when you do have to deal with the tough stuff.

Oh and FYI, multiple surveys have shown happy people are generally deemed to be more attractive than those with pessimistic/negative attitudes, just sayen’.

So let’s all get happy!!!

Fall in love with you ❤️

It’s a good day to fall in love with
your sweet, awesome self.

If you’re not loven’ on #1 (thats you) you’re not loven on anyone.

We can only receive the love we BELIEVE we deserve, not the love we truly deserve. If we don’t love ourselves first, it’s almost impossible to receive love from others. When this happens, we create walls and emotional distance between ourselves and the ones trying to love us.

Start loven’ on you ❤️
