Before you decide to; “put somebody in their place” “show them the door”, “read them the riot act” “take them down” “teach them a lesson” “tear a strip off them” “bully them” or “seek revenge” …..ask yourself if that’s what they really need. When people are struggling, trying to cope with the chaos and pain in their lives, they don’t need another storm, they need a lighthouse. Be kind Be compassionate Be the lighthouse.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. Toni O’KEEFFE 🌹❤️
Guess what? You are the boss of you. You’re allowed to slow down. 🍁🧣🍂 Peace, calm, maybe a bit of wisdom, and even healing, find us when we stop “doing” and rest.
Wishing you a peaceful, calm, happy weekend. Toni🌹❤️
I’m grateful for the ones who; ~ patiently teach without judgement, ~ are kind when they suggest how things can be done differently, ~ listen to understand, not to blame, criticize, judge or ridicule, ~ have no desire to prove they’re right, ~ freely share their time, talents and wisdom in an effort to help us grow and become better versions of ourselves.
Along this mysterious, messy, yet oh so marvellous, road called life, be grateful for the ones who show up and patiently guide us to where we’re meant to be.
We have to experience what love is “not” so we recognize authentic love when it arrives.
Those bad dates, heartaches, butterflies that turned into teary goodbyes, are stepping stones guiding you to whom and where you’re meant to be. Let them guide you, who knows, they may lead to your happily-ever-after.
Be grateful for everyone that wanders in and out of your life.
OK, you might be a little bit messy today. You might even feel bloated, gassy, cranky and a little less than your awesome self. But listen, even on the messiest, most uncomfortable, baddest of bad hair days, you’re still a beautiful, fricken’ miracle, capable of achieving BIG ( and I mean HUGE) awesomeness!
Wear that mess of fuzz like a crown and go make some magic!
We don’t arrive to this life adventure knowing it all. If we did, what would be the point?
I remember this chaotic, impatient, awkward, young girl, tripping over life. You might remember a similar girl or boy from the early days of your own life story.
When I reflect back on this girl, I do so with such compassion and love, because I realize now; ~ How hard she worked to find her voice and to be heard. ~ How she struggled to find the values to guide her. ~ How desperately she wanted to find her purpose. ~ How determined she was in her quest to find her place in the world and find her tribe, And ~ How passionately she craved, and still craves, authentic human connections. Back “then” she couldn’t even describe what this craving was.
I hope you see and admire the younger version of yourself the same way. Be gentle with, and forgive yourself for the mistakes you think you’ve made, because none of it was a mistake. That younger you, was just trying to figure life out, searching, learning and growing like we all are.
Wherever you are along this life journey, is exactly where you’re meant to be. Be grateful that your younger self got you this far, now, keep on going💖.
