Hopes and dreams

It’s a beautiful thing to have hopes and dreams, to make wishes and trust they’ll come true, and to be grateful when they do.

I love this optimistic, magical side of our whimsy human nature.

No matter how old you are, may you never stop sending dandelion wishes into the wind afar, and never stop dreaming upon a star.

Grateful

I’m grateful for the ones who;
~ patiently teach without judgement,
~ are kind when they suggest how things can be done differently,
~ listen to understand, not to blame, criticize, judge or ridicule,
~ have no desire to prove they’re right,
~ freely share their time, talents and wisdom in an effort to help us grow and become better versions of ourselves.

Along this mysterious, messy, yet oh so marvellous, road called life, be grateful for the ones who show up and patiently guide us to where we’re meant to be.

A broken heart may not be bad thing~

A broken heart is not always a bad thing~

We have to experience what love is “not” so we recognize authentic love when it arrives.

Those bad dates, heartaches, butterflies that turned into teary goodbyes, are stepping stones guiding you to whom and where you’re meant to be. Let them guide you, who knows, they may lead to your happily-ever-after.

Be grateful for everyone that wanders in and out of your life.

OK, you might be a little bit messy today.

OK, you might be a little bit messy today.
You might even feel bloated, gassy, cranky and a little less than your awesome self.
But listen, even on the messiest, most uncomfortable, baddest of bad hair days, you’re still a beautiful, fricken’ miracle, capable of achieving BIG ( and I mean HUGE) awesomeness!

Wear that mess of fuzz like a crown and
go make some magic!

We don’t arrive to this life adventure knowing it all. If we did, what would be the point?

We don’t arrive to this life adventure knowing it all. If we did, what would be the point?

I remember this chaotic, impatient, awkward, young girl, tripping over life. You might remember a similar girl or boy from the early days of your own life story.

When I reflect back on this girl, I do so with such compassion and love, because I realize now;
~ How hard she worked to find her voice and to be heard.
~ How she struggled to find the values to guide her.
~ How desperately she wanted to find her purpose.
~ How determined she was in her quest to find her place in the world and find her tribe,
And
~ How passionately she craved, and still craves, authentic human connections.
Back “then” she couldn’t even describe what this craving was.

I hope you see and admire the younger version of yourself the same way. Be gentle with, and forgive yourself for the mistakes you think you’ve made, because none of it was a mistake. That younger you, was just trying to figure life out, searching, learning and growing like we all are.

Wherever you are along this life journey, is exactly where you’re meant to be. Be grateful that your younger self got you this far, now, keep on going💖.

The rain changes everything☔️

We accept the rain knowing nothing can grow or bloom without it.

When dark clouds move in over your life, accept them, let them pour, knowing every dark cloud brings opportunities for beautiful things to bloom.

Those things that challenge us, cause us pain, grief, or heartache, are also the things that allow us to grow, if we let them.

Surrender is not about giving up.

Surrender is not about giving up.

It’s about courage, trust and acceptance.

To surrender does not mean marching into battle and surrendering to your enemy. It means, mindfully making a decision, trusting you’ve made the right decision, then, having the courage to accept the outcome and the consequences.

When we fully surrendered to life we’re able to;

~ take on new challenges and follow our dreams, without the interference of ego, trusting and accepting we’re where we’re meant to be, even if that place is painful.

~ to let go of the need to be in charge, control an outcome, prove we’re right, or attempt to be better than anyone else. Rather, we seek to be better than we were the day before.

~ to recognize we’ve done all we can, we’ve put forth our best effort, given it our all, and then, we allow life to unfold as it’s meant to unfold.

The ability to surrender takes enormous courage, patience, and wisdom. When we surrender, we’re trusting, accepting and loving our self, exactly as we are.

Surrender is perhaps the most mindful, expression of courage and self love a human being can display.

Drop your sword. Let go of the people, things and attitudes that are dark clouds blocking your beautiful light.

Life is more peaceful when we surrender and stop seeing everything as a battle.

The ones~

Never forget the ones;
who didn’t have to be there,
but were.

The ones who
didn’t have to care,
but did.

The ones who
had nothing to gain,
but stepped up for you anyway.

The ones who
stood beside you when
no one else would.

The ones who
helped you find the words
you needed to speak and offered encouragement so you could speak them.

We all have earth angels who have shown up for us. Keep them close. Be mindful of their importance in your life and, grateful they choose to walk beside you, even if it was only for a little while.
